Fiat I present a few days ago, the electric variant of Palio Weekend. A version that was necessary for the region and to help raise awareness about using environmentally friendly engines, because in the Mercosur still this kind of engine is very new.
Units Palio Electric were mounted at the Itaipú Binacional , (21 power units, but they are expected to deliver about 50 in total).
This is a project which involved Fiat plant Itaipú and a Switzerland ( KWO ) that specializes in the production of renewable hydropower. The vehicle is fully adequate for the project comes directly from the factory Fiat Betim in Automóveis .
The engine is cooled by having water and has an output of 20 hp (15 kW) and 5.1 kgm of torque (50 Nm). Pesa 41.5 km and the box has only one way forward and one backward. The selector has the options Drive, Neutral and Reverse . The batteries are in the trunk and nickel, and autonomy, (full load) is 120 km, and can be done in 8 hours by connecting to an outlet of 220 volts. This goes from 0 to 60 mph in 9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 100 km / h in about 28 seconds.
Managers Fiat Brazil said: “to develop a 100% electric vehicle, Brazil is the ideal, since much of the electricity generated in the country is provided by the plants hydroelectric power, or clean energy and a lot cheaper. That is one reason for the Electric Palio Weekend is produced in an assembly line at the hydroelectric plant of Itaipú “.
The only thing he plays against the console is green (unnecessary), but other additions (like the new clock and graphics), you are well on the first Palio electric production.
