Mercedes-Benz AMG SLS 2011, first pictures of the new German beast

The German has not yet any data or image, of its specific new model, the SLS AMG but apparently thanks to Autobild we can assume that the first images of new concrete super by Mercedes .
The new super will succeed SLR McLaren , and as the basis of their design to the legendary 300 SL of 50s , a model was a breakthrough in the history of German firm.
This beast will be presented in German Frankfurt Auto Salon , the price be around EUR 156,000 .
Under the hood will have a central front engine AMG V8 6.3 liters, 571 hp, 650 Nm, with acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and a top speed of 315 km / h .
When you are also a hybrid version that will (called
eDrive ) with four electric motors to give you a total of 532 hp and 649 lb-ft of torque. Accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in about 4 seconds and has a top speed of 190 km / h.
With respect to the design we see a very interesting line, which emphasizes the grill
300 SL , lenses, gull wing doors, the side (which is incredible), and the rear, in where the optical and exhaust outlet are very consistent with the model.
The interior is very retro and cozy, which highlights the chrome, materials, seating, and amazing that this is ending.
Fortunately the
SLS is more in tune to what is really Mercedes Benz, and they have great history. Hopefully this will be the kick to be renewed throughout the range with this style of design in the future because the current style does not convince me.
