With the new common rail TDI engine fuel consumption down to the 5.4 l/100km, while emissions have been cut in 12g/km to reach an incredible 143g/km of CO2 . This improvement is partly due to the inclusion of a new Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF), which complies with the guidelines of the Euro V.
With the previous engine consume the Superb 5,9 l/100km and emitting 155g/km of CO2. The new Superb common-rail can be equipped with 6 speed manual transmission or the DSG semi-automatic, in any 4 finishes . The price does not vary, there is reference to the 18,205 pounds in the UK, that change would be about 20,900 euros.
