The German coach RUF , which specializes in tunear to Porsche 911 , is responsible for preparing an electric version of the legendary sports, where as we see in picture (of the electric motor) This is home to his chest batteries Lithium-Ion , weighing nearly 550 kg. Altogether this carries 96 batteries of 5.6 kg each, the company Axeon .
RUF said his 911 160 amperes provides electricity for one hour with a mass of 1900 kg and a maximum speed of 224 km / h. In addition achieves an acceleration from 0 to 100 km / h in 7 seconds and has a range average of 250 to 300 km.
The idea of incorporating an electric motor to a 911 , is not so bad if what we see on the side of savings and what you are doing future competition ( Tesla , Ronn , Etc). RUF dared to do it, but it remains to be seen if Porsche are the plays and introduces cone option in the market for a car of this kind.
In truth it is very difficult to digest a Porsche Electric, since this firm was just dedicated to superdeportivos and the competition throughout its history. If this comes to us we should prepare to see the Ferraris, Maseartis, Lamborghinis , etc, with a similar engine.
It’s not that I do not like this idea, what happens is that it is not to apply in these superdeportivos. Now we could say that is the end of the big horsepower. Another apocalypse begins?
