The new and small Japanese model, the Toyota iQ has been introduced recently in Europe . A model that is difficult to capture the European public (in a segment where Toyota does not have much presence in this market) and to compete with the Smart . But apparently, thanks to two British bloggers, it managed to achieve a range of 800 km without loading gasoline.
This has been achieved only by these two guys, which apparently neither the firm thought that the model had achieved so much autonomy. This will serve much the Japanese model as they get the most sales. But to achieve this interesting finding should be publicized.
The objective was to exceed the figures given by the signature of the model, because as often happens, the benefits and technical specifications of the models (all brands) do not match when you do a test, or because exceed or fail to measurements given by the signature. In this case has far exceeded.
As it should be clear that this autonomy was achieved with a gasoline car and not a hybrid or electric, which puts it in a location yet away from what one expects at the moment. But do not despair, because Toyota present in a very short time, an electric version of the model (direct competitor of the Smart Electric).
